T ROWE PRICE HEADQUARTERS
Baltimore, Maryland
A corporate campus that fosters collaboration
To accommodate the rapidly expanding mutual fund market, T. Rowe Price, the investment advisory firm, moved to a suburban corporate campus to foster a greater sense of community and exemplify a reinvigorated corporate culture.
As project architect, Bob designed the suburban operations center around four linked, four-story buildings on 32 wooded acres. The buildings — equivalent to “Class A” office structures — have separate identities but still make up a unified campus similar to a university setting. Column-free spans of more than 50 feet and easily changeable workstations facilitate open, flexible workspace. Spacious floor plates and raised flooring aid in accessing the firm’s vital telecom system.
